They were actually using both steel strings and nylon strings to create a tonal contrast in the performance. I think thats an amazingly creative idea.

the point is that they're younger kids. for their age, they're playing skills are amazing. if they were adults who had years to learn, it wouldn't be half as good.

D'vorak... Interesting, I've heard I the phrase "one man symphony", and the closest to it would be a pianist, considering pianos are capable of larger polyphony. I rather reduce the whole piece to one piano (maybe 4 hands, if necessary), even at cost of quality and loss of voices, it would most grand, piano being the grandest of instruments.

Very good intro, but they got really confuzzled in the crescendo. If they were adults, it'd be a 2/5, but these are kids like meh, no older than 15 as far as I can tell. 4/5 for their age and overral decent performance.

Normally the 1812 Overture would be done with an orchestra. They are using guitars. Keep in mind these are kids and this music is difficult to play.
